How To Tell More Compelling Stories About Your Green Marketing to Make You More Sustainable
I own (Well, it really owns me) a mid-sized ad agency in Phoenix, Az, that doesn’t just produce award-winning ad campaigns. We create movements that ignite the growth of people, products, companies and causes that dare to make the world around us better.
We do this by crafting and telling compelling brand stories that turn heads and incite action.
It must be working, because much to my surprise, I was recently honored as the “2010 Advertising Person of the Year,” by the American Advertising Federation – Metro Phoenix. We were also recently named among the 10 finalists for Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce’s IMPACT Awards. Here’s a video they produced for the big event that will give you a quick peek into Park&Co.

This tremendous recognition came from working with a group of talented people on programs like Water – Use It Wisely. The water conservation campaign started in 1999, and has grown to include more than 400 private and public partners throughout North America making it the largest conservation outreach program of its kind in the world. Just Google “water conservation” and you’ll see what I mean.
We created the Bring Back Blue campaign for the Maricopa County air quality department.
Global Water, one of the fastest growing private water utilities in the country, tapped us five years ago to help brand their unique business model for recycling water.
Park&Co created and launched the “Sustainable Healthcare” brand for Adelante Healthcare, a 30-year-old Arizona provider.
Other initiatives include helping Goodwill of Central Arizona grow by more than 300 percent since 2004, re-branding Habitat for Humanity‘s online presence, and the recent launch of HearHer.org, a blog and social media network that amplifies the voices and stories of survivors of domestic violence.
Our work has been recognized in several publications, including the Wall Street Journal, Stanford University’s, “Social Innovation Review,” an award-winning magazine covering best strategies for nonprofits, foundations, and socially responsible businesses.
Other notable publications include, Philip Kotler’s college textbook, “Corporate Social Responsibility, Doing the Most Good for Your Company and Your Cause,” Craig Cortello’s “Everything We Needed to Know About Business We Learned Playing Music,” David Bach’s “Go Green, Live Rich,” in Fast Company magazine’s blog, and featured in EcoSeed’ s “Bridging Environment and Economy” magazine..
I graduated from Washington State University, and today I combine two degrees – Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Music – to turn ad campaigns into movements that matter.
