I have never met such an artistic and industrious family as the Arnolds. This is my wife’s aunt and uncle’s winery, and I had to shoot this film one day last Fall so you could experience the remarkable destination they have created on the banks of the San Juan River in north central New Mexico.
Wines of the San Juan Harvest Festival ’09 from ParkHowell.com on Vimeo.
Located on this world-renowned ribbon of fly fishing water, Wines of the San Juan is a vintage all its own that celebrates both the fertile land and the family that have created a little bit of paradise fairly hidden among the rugged outcroppings of the high desert. Their annual Harvest Festival, uncorked on the last weekend of every September, is a must retreat for anyone seeking an escape from the rigors of life. The journey to this remote wine maker IS the destination. You will age nicely, so partake.

Park, Leah and I just viewed your Wines of San Juan video and loved it. You did a great job. David did an excellent job of explaning what the winery is all about. Your photography was beautiful and made more so by the music selection. Leah started crying and I joked up when we saw the “Cheers To Zak” sign. We loved him dearly. We thank you and Michele for sharing the video with us.
Hi Ron. It was our pleasure, and we’re glad you enjoyed it. A nice family keepsake.
