Karin, it's not you. It's short sighted customer service on their part. My wife sent back a pair of faulty Echo shoes after wearing them for two years. She didn't want a new free pair, she just wanted to let a company that she loves know that they had a problem with a certain shoe. Echo sent her a $250 gift certificate. She was blown away and tells every one about how much she loves Echo. All companies should be so far sighted. Sorry to hear about your bottle. I'm not particularly crazy about mine either. I guess you won't be drinking grape juice out of it. :-)

I thought this would be the perfect product for me. I drink a lot of water during the day, and am also an athlete...so I carry a water bottle pretty much all the time. This sounded like a great idea, due to our water at work not being filtered. Turns out though, that my new Clear2O bottle leaks whenever I drink out of it! I checked the fitting of all components, but even after reassembling the bottle a few times, I always end up with water drops on my shirt, or pants, or floor. After submitting my feedback to customer service (did not want to get a new bottle; just wanted to see what they had to say), and also telling them that there was no reason for me to save a receipt for a water bottle, they came back with their solution: they wanted me to unscrew the lid, send it in with a check of $7.50, and then they would send me back a new part. This would put the price of the bottle at over $23, considering I already bought it...now I pay for shipping the not functioning lid....and I'm paying for them to send me a working lid. Is it just me, or does this seem a bit ridiculous?

Thanks for the info, Park. It's great to hear about another product that helps to cut the use of bottled water. I just hope more people will warm up to them and stop using disposable bottles.

BTW, gorgeous pictures you have there!

Thanks for your comments, Helene. If you haven't yet tried the Clear2Go water bottle, I'd highly recommend getting one from their website. Glad you enjoyed the pics. Like I said, "At 12,000 feet, they're certainly 'breathtaking'".

i really think these bottles, especially those in stainless steel are the answer to the bottled water problem. First these reusable bottles with built in filters allow people to use municipal water and filter out all the chemicals they put in there ie chlorine, fluoride and this in turn would also help to stop turning water into a sellable commodity (a very dangerous trend) and it also avoids the use of plastic yeah!
