I am not even sure if these ''Bibals'' are true! Every year they just come up with a new bibal and say it was God's words. Now can you guys really believe this, I am not Christain but I do know a lot about Christianity. And God never made the Earth for us to protect it, it his job to protect it. He can destroy the Earth when he wants to and we have no control over that whatsoever. So these people that say go ''Green'' should really rethink the thing that their doing! Because when we compare ourselves to God, we are nothing. We can't control the Earth!

The Bible was not written for the earth, it was written for humanity. To imply that the earth is more important than heaven or love (1000+ vs. 490 or 530 respectively) is unpardonable. There is also deliberate twisting of scripture. Psalm 19:1 does not speak of praising creation, it is saying creation is praising God. In Matthew 14:23, apparently, Jesus went to commune with nature. Read it again. He went to pray to God.

Paul warned us about loving the creation more than the creator in Romans 1:25 - They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

Beware the leaven...

The problem is that many in the "green" movement are really red (communist or socialist), wanting the gov't to control everything. They use hoaxes like "climate change" to push their authoritarian agenda.

Thanks for this article. I was talking to my wife about this issue this weekend. I can't believe that any christian would have a problem with this. After all, they are looking at picking up a whole new demographic. Their main concern (according to them) is that the message of the "Environment" will outweigh the message of "salvation."

This is a mute point as far as I'm concerned, because caring about your environment, and bonding with nature, placing stewardship in front of "Dominion" over the earth, can only lead to a greater awareness and spirituality.

Keep up the good fight and Alter the Eco!

Thanks for your comment, Guillaume. This may be the beginning of a greater movement for the Earth among all denominations. Let's hope so.

Send it to the Pope ASAP. I have always wondered why the church is not taking a bigger stance on climate change because under their ideas the Earth was given to us by God, so we should respect it!
