<p>As I checked into my room at the Sheraton Arlington in Texas, I was curious to find this door hanger. It asked me to &#8220;Make a Green Choice.&#8221; If I decline housekeeping for the day I&#8217;ll earn a $5 gift card for the hotel&#8217;s restaurants, or 500 SPG Starpoints.</p>
<p>This is the first I&#8217;ve seen of a hotelier actually paying its guests to help them conserve resources. I&#8217;m curious how much money they save every time they don&#8217;t have to send in the maid.</p>
<p>Smart move, Sheraton, to save green on several levels.</p>
